DARING GREATLYâ„¢ MEN'S GROUP

FOUR WEEK MEN'S CONNECTION GROUP

Vulnerability is the essence of romance. It's the art of being uncalculated, the willingness to look foolish, the courage to say, 'This is me, and I'm interested in you enough to show you my flaws with the hope that you may embrace me for all that I am but, more important, all that I am not.'

-Ashton Kutcher

The myths and double standards of vulnerability & masculinity keep a majority of men isolated and thinking that they are the exception to the norm, when in fact, they are not.

The idea that men don’t long for connection AND find it though emotional expression and shared vulnerability is entirely false. The belief that strength and emotion can be expressed at the same time is not a message that is often associated with masculine ideals.

These myths are powerful and because of that fact it is crucial to create a space with other men who are already doing the work.

Empowered Women, Empower Women.

YOUR TRIBE IS CALLING YOU.

It can be lonely at the top... especially when  you are the only woman at the table, or in the board room or building and launching your own business.

This bi-weekly drop in group will be facilitated by Julie Leonhardt and feature guest speakers and presentations. It will be virtual, live and interactive and will quickly become the highlight to your week, guaranteed.  Through this group you will develop your own community of badass women, doing the hard things, talking about the hard things, and sharing their successes, failures, learnings and lives together.

Strong women thrive when they connect with like minded souls.

WE ARE UNSTOPPABLE.

This group will provide the connection and support you've been longing for but have been too busy to seek out on your own.

BOLD!

BOLD TEEN COMMUNITY GROUP

This group is specifically designed for teens to build skills of resiliency, gain insight into thoughts, behaviors and feelings and increased confidence.

Through building a sense of community, teens can move from "I thought it was just me" to "I am not alone and I matter".

BOLD! is based on the research of Brené Brown. PhD and the group utilizes storytelling, creative exercises and group discussion developmentally appropriate for teens.

If we are brave enough, often enough, we will fall. This is a curriculum about what it takes to get back up and to write a daring new ending.

CULTURE MATTERS

(IS IT SAFE HERE TO FAIL?)

Building an innovative and resilient office culture is not an easy task and at the same time without it companies, non-profits and small businesses can become stagnant and miss crucial opportunities for growth and development.

At the same time, it’s not as hard or intimating as it may seem.

It takes courage  of a different kind.

Empathic and vulnerable leadership creates a culture where ideas are shared freely, mistakes and failures welcomed as lessons to be learned by all and where innovation and community thrive.

Non-Profit Board Training & Development

ASSESMENT & GUIDANCE FOR BOARDS IN TRANSITION

At some point you said yes- to this role and position. You said yes to a community because you wanted to have an impact.

You were drawn to this role, this place for important reasons connected to your values and right now- the environment you're in does not feel right. It's changed. Something is off- you could walk away but that's not who you are.

You care. You're committed .

Any change (no matter how big or how small, good, bad or indifferent) changes the whole system and the system as a whole.

Be the change.

Frequently Asked

If I am doing the work on my own (and feeling okay about it) how would being in a group benefit me?

The group experience can add depth to one's own experiences and also the opportunity to give support and encouragement to others who are walking a similar path, as well as receive it.

What are the benefits/differences between joining a group and individual therapy?
  • Groups can build connection and community and the experience of being in the group adds depth and context to individual sessions.
  • Often there is a gap when individual sessions are not needed (progress has been made) but still a need for additional support and a place to process the changes that have been made. Group is a great way to get support, guidance and content and transition out of individual counseling.
  • Groups can be likened to "an emotional tune up" or "touching base" when new challenges have come into your life to solidify the gains you have made in the past.
  • It can be more affordable than individual counseling on weekly basis and provides a new and different experience.
